What is brown sugar?
Brown sugar aka turbinado is a type of sugars that is heated to a yellowish-brown color after white sugar produced and refined several times in the sugar-making process. It has a unique flavor compared to white sugar, and the heat applied during the manufacturing process brings out the aroma of raw sugar.
But, this article is focusing on organic sugar obtained organically from brown sugar cane without chemical refining processes. Genuine organic sugar, however, is not easy to find. In my experience, the one shown in the photo is the closest to the one that I have been using for over two decades. (Note that I have no affiliationg with this product, and this is just an introduction based on my experience.)
Benefits of organic brown sugar
1. supplies minerals and vitamins to make the skin glow.
2. removes dead skin cells, dirt, and moisturizes the skin.
3. has a lifting effect on fine lines that appear with dry skin.
4. exfoliates the skin.
5. is effective in reducing or eliminating aging spots.
6. is effective to soften and rejuvenate rough, calloused elbow, knees, and soles of the feet.
7. removes impurites from the pores and soften the rough skin texture, particularly on oily skin.
8. helps to activate cells in the skin by removing wastes and moisturizing, etc.
To get clean and moisturized skin, use it habitually every day.
1. Once a day, after lathering your face with soap or foam cleanser in the evening, pick up a ts amount of organic brown sugar, mix with the foam, gently massage your face and hands for about 30 seconds, and then rince thoroughly. In this case, you can also use a creamy mixture made out of brown sugar and boiled water in a 1:1 ratio.
2. For a smooth skin texture - A mixture of a grated fresh banana with brown sugar can be applied to your skin/face and leave it on for about 20 minutes, then wash it off with lukewarm water.
3. For rough and aging hands - a mixture of brown sugar with warmed whole milk can be applied to rough and aging hands, wear plastic gloves, and rinse off after 10 minutes.
4. To remove blackheads - a mixture of brown sugar, yogurt and a little amount of flour is placed on the blackheaded area, gently massage for about 2-3 minutes, and then rinse off.
5. For dry and sensitive facial skin, it is recommended to use less than for oily skin such as reducing the frequency of use to once every other day, or twice a week instead of daily use depending on your experience.
